How to place an order

Every item ordered from Onorati Design is a custom, one of a kind piece of beautiful art glass.  No two pieces of mine are the exact same.  Having said that, all pieces are made to order or in the art world, they are commissioned art pieces.

When you have decided that you want a piece for yourself, this is where is gets easy.  You, the customer, choose one, MAYBE two colors for the glass – the rest is up to me.  I keep each customer in the loop and look for input during the initial design process and throughout the entire process.  This is an almost fool proof way to make sure that you get what you wanted.  And it all starts with either an email, a Facebook message, or as simple as a phone call.  The two previous mentions, email and Facebook, will get you a call from me.  I like to get a feel for the person placing the order and for them to tell me, in their own words, what it is they want.

Paying for you piece

50% of the total amount due is to be paid before a single piece of glass is cut.  Once the glass cutting has begun, you are still entitled to cancel you order, but your initial deposit will not be refunded.  As items can take anywhere from two to six weeks to create, you might place your order today, pay your deposit, and I might not get started on your piece for three weeks.  You will be made away of the anticipated commencement date of your piece when the first payment has been processed.

When will my piece arrive?

When your order is placed, I will tell you the approximate date that your piece is expected to enter the kiln for the first time.  Depending on many factors of your particular order, it may need two full trips through the kiln, some need as many as eight.  Before the conversation is ended, I will provide you a ball park date as to when your item will ship.  If anything prevents this date from being met, you will be notified at the earliest possible opportunity.  All items are shipping with USPS Priority Mail with adequate insurance to cover a replacement should something unfortunate happen in transit.  For more information, please see our Terms & Conditions page for further explanation.

As with anything hand made, or made from breakable materials, please always be aware that this is fused, slumped art glass,  It is the nature of the material to want to break.  Best effort and planning is done to make sure all of the pieces that leave here will be something that will last for generations.  However, there are times when accidents, no matter how careful one can be, will happen.  Entire works have been seen laying on the floor of the glass studio, three weeks of work shattered into 100’s of pieces.

Returns

As every item sold is a custom creation, made for a specific person, to their wants and needs, an “ALL SALES ARE FINAL” is our return policy.  For more information on these, and other store policies, please see the Terms and Conditions area of the site.  This has all the legal notices one might need.
